Why 4fngrSlap
On Friday, August 13, 2004, while leading a convoy in Iraq, our vehicle was struck by an IED. In an instant, my life changed forever. I suffered severe injuries to my hands and right leg, including a compound fracture of my right tibia and the loss of my right index finger.
What followed was a long road to recovery — multiple surgeries, skin grafts, months in a wheelchair, and over a year of rehabilitation. I learned that resilience isn't something you're born with. It's something you build one day at a time.
The logo on this brand represents my right hand today. What some might see as a reminder of loss, I see as a symbol of survival. The name 4fngrSlap is my way of owning that story — a reminder that setbacks don't define us, how we respond to them does.
Every shirt on this site carries a saying that carried someone through their service. Some are funny. Some are serious. If you've served, you'll probably recognize a few and smile.
